About This Project

Because it is public, we feel comfortable talking about a reputation management program for the City of Los Angeles. Following a series of natural disasters and a recession, the media labeled Los Angeles “Paradise Lost.” The City of Los Angeles needed to rebuild its image and retained Casey & Sayre for the job. Our first step was initiating a “fight back” campaign in response to the inaccurate coverage. The second thrust was a fact-based campaign to national and international media highlighting LA’s leadership in innovation, entrepreneurship, design, and pop culture that resulted in extensive positive media coverage and a new perception of Los Angeles both nationally and internationally.
